🦎🐢🦜 Have you checked out BK’s Reptiles & Zoo in Grover Beach yet? 🐍🐸

If you’re looking for something a little different to do on the Central Coast, this locally owned, family-run spot is home to reptiles, amphibians, insects and lorikeets, with plenty of opportunities to get up close and interactive with the animals!

BK’s Reptiles & Zoo opened its doors in Grover Beach in May 2026, but owner Andrew Barton’s love of reptiles goes back much further. 🦎 Andrew fell in love with reptiles when he was about 5 years old, growing up in Louisiana and catching turtles, frogs, snakes and fish. 🐢 After years of planning and dreaming about opening his own zoo, BK’s Reptiles & Zoo finally became a reality right here on the Central Coast! Today, the zoo is home to 50+ reptiles, amphibians, insects and lorikeets. 🐊🐍🦜

🎟️ WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE?
This isn’t just a walk-through zoo. There are several hands-on experiences available:

🐢 Turtle Feeding
Feed live worms to the turtles in the pond! This experience is $5 and is suitable for all ages.

🐢 Tortoise Feeding
Get up close with the giant Sulcata tortoises and hand-feed them for $5. Just remember to keep those fingers clear of their mouths! 😆

🦜 Lorikeet Paradise
Step inside the aviary and hand-feed the lorikeets nectar. With more than a dozen birds in the aviary, there’s a good chance one might decide that YOU are the perfect landing spot. 😂🦜

🐍 Reptile Zoo
Explore the walk-through reptile zoo and see a variety of reptiles, amphibians and other animals up close. And depending on the day, you may even get the chance to see some of the animals outside their enclosures for a closer look!

🛍️ THERE’S ALSO A REPTILE STORE
The front of BK’s is a reptile specialty store where you can find animals, habitat supplies, feeder insects and other reptile-related products.

So whether you already have a scaly friend at home or you just want to come see some fascinating animals, there’s something here for you. 🦎

📍🕙🎟️ PLAN YOUR VISIT
Visit @bksreptilezoo for location, hours, and current prices for zoo admission and hands-on experiences!

🐐🧀 If you’ve never visited Stepladder Creamery, this is your sign to add it to your SLO County bucket list!

20 minutes from downtown Cambria, Stepladder Creamery is a family-owned ranch where most cheeses are handcrafted using milk from the goats that call the ranch home. What started as a small passion project has grown into one of the Central Coast’s most unique tasting experiences, combining award-winning artisan cheeses, beautiful scenery, and plenty of friendly goats ready to steal your heart. 🐐💚

Whether you’re a serious cheese lover or just looking for a memorable stop along Highway 1, this is one place you won’t forget!

✨ **Tips for your visit:**
🐐 Reserve your tasting in advance since spots often fill up.
🧀 Come hungry! The cheese tasting is absolutely worth it.
🌿 Wear comfortable shoes because you’ll be walking around the farm.
❤️ also wear clothing that might see a little love (and nibble!) from the goats
📸 Bring your camera because the views (and the goats!) are incredibly photogenic.
👨‍👩‍👧 Bringing kids, or in a group of 8 or more? Be sure to email before your booking to ask about pricing.
🧥 Bring a light jacket. Even sunny Cambria afternoons can be cool on the ranch.

One last day. One more chance to dance, sing along, and soak up the magic of Live Oak Music Festival. 🌳🎶✨

From morning melodies beneath the oak trees to unforgettable performances throughout the day, Day 3 was a celebration of everything that makes Live Oak so special. Families gathered, kids explored and played, friends shared meals and stories, and the music brought everyone together one last time.

As the sun set on another Live Oak Music Festival, we found ourselves wishing the weekend could last just a little longer. ❤️

The stages may be quiet for now, but the memories, music, and friendships made this weekend will stay with us for a long time to come.

Until next year, Live Oak. 🌳🎻✨

🍷🎶🎨 At Castoro Cellars, Dam Fine Wines are just the beginning

Founded in 1983 by husband-and-wife team Niels and Bimmer Udsen, @castorocellars has grown from a small family winery into one of the most beloved destinations in Paso Robles wine country. Their philosophy has always been about more than great wine. It’s about bringing people together through wine, music, art, and community ❤️

Over four decades later, those founding values are still at the heart of everything they do:

🍇 Family-owned and operated for more than 40 years

🌱 Leaders in sustainable farming and environmental stewardship

🍷 Award-winning wines crafted from estate vineyards throughout Paso Robles

🤝 Deeply committed to supporting local nonprofits, events, and community initiatives

🎶 A longtime champion of live music, hosting performances throughout the year featuring talented local and touring musicians

🎨 Believers that wine, music, and art are all connected, creating experiences that inspire creativity and bring people together

🌄 A welcoming tasting room and scenic patio surrounded by rolling vineyards and beautiful wine country views

🐳 Home of the annual Whale Rock Music & Arts Festival, where thousands gather each September to celebrate music, art, food, wine, and community on the Central Coast (learn more about this incredible festival and get your tickets at @whalerockmusicfestival )

❤️ Whether you’re stopping by for a tasting, catching a lazy locals concert, or spending the weekend at Whale Rock, Castoro Cellars offers the kind of experience that keeps people coming back year after year.
